What Gmail's latest sender rules mean for you

Inbox providers keep raising the bar for bulk senders. Here's what changed, and what you actually need to do.

We’re still writing this one. The short version: Google and Yahoo began enforcing stricter sender rules in 2024 and Microsoft followed for Outlook in 2025. Valid SPF and DKIM, a DMARC record, aligned “From” addresses, one-click unsubscribe, and low spam complaints are the new baseline.
